Erskine offer a range of standard AC Inverter systems that provide a high quality source of AC power. The product range is based on transistorised PWM inverters with fully rated static switches and a wide range of configuration options.

The AC inverter solution can be customised to meet the most demanding of client requirements. Erskine is renowned for their technical expertise and manufacturing capability to provide the optimum solution.

These types of systems are widely used in the power generation and distribution, oil and gas, industrial and onshore or offshore petro-chemical applications.

Industrial Grade Inverters

The industrial grade inverter is configured from three main elements the inverter, static bypass and manual bypass.

The pulse width modulated IGBT based inverter generates a regulated sinusoidal AC output from the DC bus. A transformer in the inverter output provides galvanic isolation between the inverter output and dc input.

The inverter output is controlled by an electronic static switch that selects either the inverter output or bypass supply, the normal mode of operation is for the inverter output to supply the load. Under fault or overload conditions the static switch will transfer to the bypass supply to provide fault protection device clearance.
